Duncan joins Von Ryan Racing for British GT campaign
Sports car racer Duncan Tappy will soon be behind the wheel of a McLaren GT again after signing with Von Ryan Racing to compete in the British GT championship for the remainder of the 2013 season.
The deal will see Tappy and Gregoire Demoustier race in all remaining rounds of the series apart from Zandvoort, which clashes with other commitments.
Tappy said: “I’m very pleased to be teaming up with Greg in a McLaren GT again after a successful partnership last year in the Blancpain Endurance Series. I want to thank Von Ryan Racing and everyone else involved in making this opportunity come to fruition.”
The Surrey driver moved to sports cars last year after a championship-winning single seater career that saw him earn the Formula Renault UK crown and contribute to an AutoGP team title for French squad DAMS.
The switch was an immediate success, with a class victory in Navarra helping see Tappy named Blancpain Endurance Series Pro-Am driver of the year.
Further news regarding Tappy’s 2013 racing programme is expected very shortly.
