Autosport Awards
Having been selected as one of six nominees for the Autosport Young Driver of the Year Award, Duncan attended the Awards Dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, London on Sunday evening.
This was a glittering affair, hosted by Steve Ryder, also attended by almost every big name in motorsport – Sir Stirling Moss, Nigel Mansell, David Coulthard and Jenson Button, to name but a few.
Unfortunately Duncan did not win the Award, which went to Oliver Jarvis, but although disappointed, Duncan really enjoyed the evening – especially the after-show party!
Duncan said “Of course I was disappointed not to have won the award, but the whole experience has been fantastic. Having the opportunity to drive four different cars was amazing – the DTM was awesome!
“I would like to say that the evaluation days at Snetterton were great and an experience I will never forget. I would like to thank the BRDC, Motosport Vision and McLaren for making this possible. I learned so much and although we took it all very seriously and were under close scrutiny, we also had a good laugh.
“They are a great bunch of lads and we all got on very well. Congratulations to Oliver – I wish him all the best.”
Duncan is now concentrating on next season. He is expecting to be running in the UK Formula Renault Championship.
